Employees like Dale Wetsch are a valuable resource at United Printing. Not only does Dale have decades of experience with different printing presses, but he knows the history of United Printing and he shows his commitment with each passing day. Dale has worked in the publishing and printing industry since 1969. He joined United Printing in 1978 and currently works as a pressroom supervisor in Mandan. When he’s not supervising press operations or maintaining equipment, Dale says he spends time with family, and enjoys hunting and fishing.

Getting customers the lowest postal rates is Trish Lemer’s top priority. The vice president of direct mail, Trish joined United Printing in 1998. She sets up databases, CASS-certifies data and prepares mail for the post office. After she graduated from Bismarck Junior College, Trish maintained a statewide database and coordinated mail projects for a political party. A native of Bismarck, Trish likes to hunt, fish and camp.

With a bit of humor, Ken Novak says he’s worked “long and hard” over the years as a bindery technician for United Printing. A veteran handyman since 1976, Ken cuts paper, folds and stitches books, and puts the finishing touches on all our printed projects. A native of Fargo, Ken graduated from the North Dakota State School of Science. After his long, hard days at the office, Ken says he relaxes by hunting, fishing, camping, reading and riding his motorcycle.

Scott Roth is a hands-on kind of guy. At work, he runs a press. At home, he enjoys home remodeling projects and building cabinets. Scott earned a degree in process plant technology and joined United Printing in 1991. When he’s not busy making home improvements, he says he enjoys biking and boating.

Ron Samek knows how spot colors and varnishes can enhance a professional marketing piece. The press operator of the six-color “Printmaster,” Ron monitors each print job to ensure even ink and paper distribution. Throughout each run, Ron regularly pulls a sheet to check for imperfections, so our customers have the best quality product hot off the press. A graduate of the North Dakota State College of Science with a degree as a graphic arts technician, Ron joined United Printing in 2001. In his free time, Ron likes to ride his motorcycle, hunt and fish.

Wayne Ratzak is a family man. His first job is to be an active dad to his sons Isaiah and Christopher, and daughters Abrianna and Tamika. He’s also proud to be married to his wife, Darla, for more than 20 years. Wayne’s second job is an offset pressman for United Printing. He graduated from the North Dakota State School of Science with a graphic arts degree, and worked at several print shops before joining United Printing. When he’s not busy operating a press, you might find Wayne out camping and fishing.

An all-around handyman who farmed and ranched with his family, Justin Miller joined United Printing in 2003 to work as a pressman. A graduate of Bismarck State College with a degree in power plant technology, Justin watches for paper imperfections and color consistencies to give our customers the best finished product. If he’s not watching a press or helping family on the farm, Justin enjoys taking rides on his motorcycle, as well as hunting and fishing.

Completing a printed product is Patrick Schulz’s forte. Formerly an employee of Cross Country Courier and another local print shop, Patrick works as a bindery technician for United Printing. Since 1992, he’s helped put the finishing touches on an already professional project. His expertise includes punching, folding, perforating, cutting, die-cutting, gluing, stitching, collating, binding and laminating.

His work experience and education make him a careful and committed pressman. Jayme Glaser started his printing career at the Bismarck Tribune, where he learned how to operate a sheet-fed press. He also worked for a local hospital and print shop before joining the United Printing crew in 2004. Jayme graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science with a degree in welding. In his free time, he likes to race cars, ride his motorcycle, spend time with friends and family, play Frisbee golf, and hunt and fish.

While technology guides how we do business, we still believe in one-on-one service. Jan Goehring, digital print operator, uses her years of experience with United Printing to help customers with quick-print jobs. Hired in 1988, Jan also works in the bindery department where she finishes jobs by punching, folding, perforating, cutting, die-cutting, gluing, stitching, collating, binding and laminating. Outside of work, you might find her golfing or bowling, depending on the season.
